What Is Detane Used For
Detane is a local anesthetic and is effective in reducing pain or discomfort by numbing the skin. By numbing the skin, Detane blocks nerve signals in your body, decreasing the pain. Detane is commonly used to treat pain caused by soar throat, teething pain, vaginal or rectal discomfort, sunburn, skin irritations, ingrown toanails, hemorrhoids, and others.

How To Use Detane
Remember to take your medication at regular intervals between every dose so that your drug will work efficiently. It is also important to follow the instructions given and read the patient information leaflet provided as these will differ between different medication.You should consult your physician before taking Detane. An overdose of numbing medications can cause fatal side effects in the event too much is absorbed in the skin. Important overdose symptoms to watch for include irregular heartbeats, slowed breathing, seizure, coma, or if you stop breathing. Be sure to use the smallest amount of Detane necessary, DO NOT use large amounts or cover the treated area. For most applications, be sure to clean the surface with soap and water before applying Detane. Avoid using Detane on skin that is blistered, cut, severely berned, or deep wounds.
